A Detailed Analysis of the State of Cybersecurity in Quebec
In light of the rapidly evolving cyber threats, companies must continually adapt their practices to strengthen their resilience.
Conducted by Professor Benoît Dupont and commissioned by Prompt, the study State of Cybersecurity in Quebec: Practices, Incidents, and Business Resilience analyzes data from four waves of Statistics Canada’s Canadian Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Survey, conducted between 2019 and 2023 among 12,000 Canadian organizations, including nearly 3,000 in Quebec.
It highlights trends in cybersecurity practices, exposure to cyber incidents, factors that promote cyber resilience, and the effects of Bill 25. It also allows for a comparison of the situation of Quebec businesses with that of businesses in the rest of Canada.
