This person will contribute directly to the growth of Prompt’s activities by identifying, qualifying, and developing business opportunities related to technological innovation projects.

This role is suited for someone capable of promoting offerings with high intangible added value—whether in the form of expertise, support, services, partnerships, or financial solutions—and of transforming opportunities into concrete collaborations.

Your Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Business Development Department, you will be responsible for:

  • Identify, target, and approach companies, organizations, and institutions with potential for collaboration with Prompt;
  • Develop and maintain an active portfolio of business opportunities, particularly through prospecting, networking, and market development activities;
  • Understand the business, technological, operational, and financial challenges faced by the organizations you engage with in order to identify, qualify, and prioritize high-potential innovation projects;
  • Summarize projects, assess the technological, organizational, and financial maturity of stakeholders, and prepare the necessary recommendations for their development;
  • Facilitate the alignment of companies’ needs with the expertise available within the ecosystem and the levers enabling the implementation of transformative projects;
  • Participate in the design of collaboration models, partnerships, and consortia, as well as in the structuring of service offerings with high intangible added value;
  • Contribute to negotiations, follow up on discussions with partners and clients, and participate in the conclusion of service agreements or partnerships;
  • Represent Prompt at conferences, trade shows, events, networking activities, and presentations to companies, organizations, and potential partners, while contributing to the organization’s visibility;
  • Ensure that data in the CRM and tracking tools is kept up to date; contribute to the continuous improvement of prospecting, lead qualification, and opportunity management processes, and participate in any other related projects or assignments aligned with the organization’s priorities.

Desired Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, consultative selling, or selling complex solutions;
  • Experience or a strong interest in the technology, science, or innovation sectors;
  • Ability to sell and promote services, expertise, support, or customized solutions;
  • Good business acumen and the ability to understand the needs, challenges, and priorities of the organizations you engage with;
  • Ability to synthesize information, attention to detail, and ease in explaining complex ideas or projects in simple terms;
  • Excellent communication, business relationship-building, and negotiation skills;
  • Self-motivated, proactive, organized, and results-oriented;
  • Curiosity, an intrapreneurial spirit, and an interest in technological innovation;
  • Proficiency with digital tools and CRM systems;
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written, and willingness to travel throughout Quebec.

What We Offer

  • A permanent position with significant strategic impact, at the heart of Quebec’s technological innovation ecosystem;
  • A hybrid work model, with a requirement to be in the office in Montreal at least two days a week;
  • 5 weeks of vacation, including 3 weeks of paid time off and 2 weeks of office closure between Christmas and New Year’s Day, an RRSP contribution, and group insurance;
  • A stimulating, people-oriented, and collaborative environment;
  • The opportunity to play a key role in the development of technological innovation projects and Prompt’s growth in Quebec.
