About Prompt
Prompt supports the development and advancement of cutting-edge technologies in Québec across strategic technology fields: AI, quantum technologies, microelectronics, and optics and photonics. As a catalyst within Québec’s technology innovation ecosystem, Prompt helps companies bring their R&D projects to life — from ambition to innovation — particularly in strategic sectors such as defence, cyber resilience, manufacturing productivity, and telecommunications.
Through their commitment and collaboration, businesses, researchers, and key stakeholders in the ecosystem help identify, develop, and deploy technologies that strengthen Quebec’s sovereignty, while generating tangible benefits for Quebec’s economy and society.
Established in 2003 as a trustee organization of Québec’s Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (MEIE), Prompt is a non-profit organization and one of nine Sectoral Industrial Research Clusters (RSRIs) mandated to develop and support innovation ecosystems and collaborative research in strategic sectors of Québec’s economy.
