Prompt provides funding for innovation projects in digital technologies. We promote the collaborative model to help reduce both financial and technological risks, and to encourage the transfer of expertise.  

Prompt Supports Innovation


Quebec-Based Companies

  • Obtain funding in the form of non-repayable grants (for innovation projects with a minimum value of $100K). Funding may cover up to 50% of project costs and up to 80% when combined with other funding sources.  
  • Receive personalized support to help identify the right funding program, maximize your chances of approval, and successfully complete your project.  
  • Access Prompt’s network of over 5,000 organizations and 10,000 professionals and academic partners to find your ideal innovation partner(s).  
  • Benefit from the visibility offered to projects funded by Prompt.  

Academic Partners

  • Obtain grant funding for your digital technology research project. Prompt’s contribution can reach up to 40% of the project value, and up to 80% when combined with other funding sources.  
  • Benefit from dedicated support for preparing your application and managing the project to maximize its success.  
  • Identify your academic and industrial partners through Prompt’s vast network of over 5,000 companies and 10,000 professionals and academic collaborators.  
  • Benefit from the visibility offered to projects funded by Prompt.  

Government

As a trust-based organization of the MEIE (Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie), Prompt: 

  • Supports the growth and competitiveness of Quebec’s businesses, universities, and research centres through funding programs tailored to their needs.  
  • Issues recommendations, reports, and publications on the needs, challenges, and opportunities in digital technologies.  
  • Backs the government’s strategic initiatives in collaboration with the innovation ecosystem.

Funding Programs in Technological Innovation

Prompt supports innovation in information and communications technologies through six funding programs. Depending on the program, applications may be submitted year-round or during specific calls for projects.

Collaborative Innovation (PSO)

For technology R&D projects in high-potential innovation sectors.

Artificial Intelligence (PARTENAR-IA)

For artificial intelligence projects involving development and commercialization.

Quantum Technologies

For collaborative research projects in quantum technologies.

GHG Reduction (INNOV-R)

For innovative collaborative projects with strong GHG reduction potential. Two streams: SME and Academic

Cybersecurity (PICQ)

All available funds under this program have now been allocated.

Manufacturing Productivity (SIPEM)

For technology requirements documents supporting Quebec’s manufacturing sector.
