It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Charles Despins, who was CEO of Prompt from its founding in 2003 until 2015.
Throughout his career, this technological visionary has worked in both academic and industrial circles in the ICT sector, researching, developing and implementing new technologies. Holder of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from McGill University and a master’s and doctorate in electrical engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, and a full professor of electrical engineering at ETS since 2015, he will be remembered as an unforgettable builder of our Consortium and of ICT in Quebec. We will also remember Charles Despins for his unparalleled sensitivity and generosity, committed to innovation and research in Quebec. It is with great emotion that the entire Prompt team extends its sincere condolences to his family and friends.
