Last July, our Deputy Director Madeleine Jean had the opportunity to meet Claudie Allaire, Key Account Manager, Life Sciences and FoodTech at InnoVaudthe innovation and investment promotion agency for the Swiss canton of Vaud.
InnoVaud is an organization attached to the Department of the Economy, Innovation and Sport (DEIS) of the canton of Vaud (Switzerland), with a mandate to support innovation for start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs and large technology companies.
While visiting Quebec, Ms Allaire met with various players in the Quebec innovation ecosystem, including Centech, the Innovation Council, Université Sherbrooke and Prompt.
This meeting between Madeleine Jean and Claudie Allaire was an opportunity for both InnoVaud and Prompt to talk about their respective missions, and to see how each organization aims to support innovation and the players in this ecosystem in both Switzerland and Quebec.
Indeed, for Quebec companies, Switzerland represents a gateway to Europe, and InnoVaud is a first point of contact. The same is true for Swiss companies setting up in Quebec, who could turn to Prompt to network with the Quebec ecosystem.
InnoVaud and Prompt are ready to work together to create links between SMEs, business development and marketing. On both sides of the Atlantic.
