At the evening event celebrating its 20th anniversary, PROMPT highlighted the benefits of innovation and interdisciplinary networking: whatever the sector, PROMPT is there to provide financial support and guidance for technological innovation projects.
CScience’s Chloé-Anne Touma had the opportunity to test three cutting-edge immersive technologies, funded by PROMPT, that are revolutionizing several distinct industries:
- Deepsight offers an innovative way for workers in the manufacturing sector to tame their work environment, without being confronted with the same level of risk normally involved.
- By adopting cutting-edge technologies such as process automation, artificial intelligence and BIM, École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) and 10 partners are transforming a wide range of sectors, including architecture, engineering, construction and real estate operations.
- Wallrus Creative Technologies, for its part, offers an immersive and entertaining experience with its project “The Secret Life of Monsters”, a unique experience at the crossroads of video game and public art installation. Among other fields of application for this technology, the developer is also targeting the representation of ruin restoration, and the reconstitution of traumatic events such as natural disasters.
