MONTREAL, March 24, 2025 /CNW/ – Christopher Skeete, Minister for the Economy, Minister responsible for the Fight against Racism and Minister responsible for the Laval region, announces the renewal of funding to support the operations of the nine sector-based industrial research clusters (RSRIs), Quebec’s major innovation catalysts.
In all, more than $21 million in funding will be shared between :
- Consortium Québécois sur la Découverte du Médicament (CQDM);
- Centre québécois de recherche et de développement de l’aluminium (CQRDA);
- Consortium de recherche et d’innovation en aérospatiale au Québec (CRIAQ);
- Consortium de recherche et d’innovation en bioprocédés industriels au Québec (CRIBIQ);
- Consortium de recherche et d’innovation en transformation métallique (CRITM);
- Consortium de recherche industrielle et d’innovation en technologies médicales du Québec (MEDTEQ+);
- Consortium d’innovation en énergie électrique (InnovÉÉ);
- Pôle de recherche et d’innovation en matériaux avancés au Québec (PRIMA);
- and the Partenariat de recherche orientée en microélectronique, photonique et télécommunications (Prompt).
Thanks to the support of our government, RSRIs will continue to support collaborative research, combining the technological development of companies with research carried out in Quebec institutions, always with the aim of developing strategic sectors of the Quebec economy.
