The Thermolio project developed by Quantolio in collaboration with Vima Technologies and the Software and IT Engineering Department at ÉTS aims to develop an intelligent solution for improving the energy efficiency of commercial buildings, with a particular focus on reducing natural gas consumption. Buildings account for around a third of the world’s energy consumption, according to the International Energy Agency, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are major contributors.
Thermolio relies on artificial intelligence to optimize these energy-hungry systems. By combining wireless sensors, machine learning models and predictive control, the solution dynamically adjusts the operation of HVAC equipment. The aim is twofold: to significantly reduce energy consumption while maintaining a high level of thermal comfort and optimum air quality for occupants.
This approach is based on the latest advances in intelligent building energy management, and is fully in line with international energy transition objectives. By helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Thermolio plays an active role in the fight against climate change.
