Support from innovation zones is not mandatory, but priority will be given to projects aligned with the strategic axes of innovation zones (quantum, information technology and microelectronics, aerospace, energy transition). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A variety of partnership configurations are available for innovation projects, with priority given to multi-partner projects (involving more than two companies).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To be eligible, the consortium must include at least two Quebec companies, including one SME or <em>startup<\/em>.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><em>The information on this page is intended as a brief summary of the main criteria for the call for projects.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve your company&#8217;s competitiveness and productivity;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incorporate innovation into your solutions to give you a competitive edge;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to the development of innovative solutions in forward-looking technological sectors through collaborative innovation;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aerospace sector;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital technologies and microelectronics;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Energy transition.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligible projects<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible projects are those aimed at developing an innovative solution (products, services or processes), from the planning stage through to pre-commercialization (real-life demonstration and technology showcase), and which demonstrate the potential for significant short-term benefits. The solution developed may be used to meet the company&#8217;s own needs, or may be intended for sale.   <strong>Nevertheless, the innovation project must meet all the following criteria:  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Involve the development of a new solution or the significant improvement of an existing <sup>one3<\/sup>;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate the required degree of innovation, i.e. the solution must offer a decisive advantage over existing solutions on the market and in the targeted sector of activity, on a national or international scale;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Involve a technological and\/or business risk or uncertainty for the company;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have required research and development efforts;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the product or process is intended for sale, the project must demonstrate commercial potential;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respect one or more principles of the Sustainable Development Act (RLRQ, chapter D8.1.1).  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Support for innovation zones  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Support from innovation zones is not compulsory, but priority will be given to projects aligned with and supported by the strategic axes of the innovation zones identified above. A letter of support from the innovation zone must be provided for this purpose. This should confirm the project&#8217;s consistency with the innovation zone&#8217;s strategic orientations and research and innovation priorities, while highlighting the potential economic impact on the zone.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key eligibility criteria for SMEs and startups*.<\/strong> <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be legally constituted under federal or Quebec law and registered with the Quebec Enterprise Registrar;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have their head office in Quebec and their employees or subcontractors must work mainly from Quebec;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>249 employees or less (SMEs);  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have an operating facility in Quebec for the production of goods and services or for in-house research and development;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not be 50% or more owned by other companies;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Own the rights to use the intellectual property of their product, process or service;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assets under $50 million;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a French-language website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In addition to the above criteria, startups must :  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be in the pre-marketing phase and not have made any significant sales;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not have been created as part of a merger, restructuring, extension or takeover of pre-existing activities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be run by a founder or a team of founders, at least one of whom is dedicated full-time (35 hours or more per week);  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the time of application, startups must be supported by a Quebec-based incubator or <sup>accelerator4<\/sup>;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Devote a significant part of their resources to developing their business, from conception to marketing their product.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Partners who do not qualify as <em>start-ups<\/em> or SMEs may collaborate on projects involving at least one <em>start-up<\/em> or SME. See all eligibility criteria in the<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-pacific-blue-color\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/entreprises-et-travailleurs-autonomes\/aide-financiere\/appels-projets-innovation\/innovation-secteurs-strategiques\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">call for projects guide<\/a><\/mark>. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Terms and conditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-grey-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-grey-background-color has-background\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The Ministry&#8217;s contribution may not exceed <strong>$1 million<\/strong> per project, for a maximum duration of <strong>20 months<\/strong>, ending no later than <strong>December 31, 2027 <\/strong>(no extensions will be accepted beyond this date). The maximum rate of financial assistance may not exceed <strong>35%<\/strong> of eligible project expenses incurred by an SME or large company, and <strong>50%<\/strong> of eligible expenses incurred by a <em>startup.<\/em>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the rate will be increased to <strong>50%,<\/strong> regardless of the size of the company, if it incurs the following expenses required to carry out the project:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Expenses incurred by an eligible public research center if they represent at least 20% of the project&#8217;s eligible expenses;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expenses for access to the <sup>PINQ2<\/sup>, Calcul Qu\u00e9bec and DistriQ quantum computing platforms.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of aid to be paid to each partner will be calculated according to its participation in the project, but no single company may receive more than <strong>80%<\/strong> of the total grant awarded.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maximum assistance for real-life demonstration and showcase projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A group of companies may not receive more than <strong>$350,000<\/strong> for a project involving a real-life demonstration and a technology showcase.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maximum innovation program grant per company, until March 31, 2027  <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assistance granted to a company for all eligible stages and activities, from the program approval date to March 31, 2027, may reach a <strong>cumulative maximum of $1.5 million<\/strong> for all projects submitted.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(*) See all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/entreprises-et-travailleurs-autonomes\/aide-financiere\/appels-projets-innovation\/innovation-secteurs-strategiques\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eligibility criteria<\/a> on the Government of Quebec website.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-grey-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-grey-background-color has-background\"\/>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/promptinnov.com\/wp-admin\/edit.php?post_type=program\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"featured_media":4618,"template":"","program-category":[118],"class_list":["post-4200","program","type-program","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","program-category-collaborative-innovation"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/promptinnov.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/program\/4200","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/promptinnov.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/program"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/promptinnov.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/program"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/promptinnov.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/4618"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/promptinnov.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4200"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"program-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/promptinnov.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/program-category?post=4200"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
