Over $5.9 million in funding allocated by Prompt to collaborative innovation projects<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n

Montreal, June 13, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Prompt announced today the funding it has awarded through its Collaborative Innovation program. In total, more than $5.9 million has been allocated to support thirteen projects involving both academic researchers and Quebec companies. <\/p>\n\n

For Prompt, grants from this program represent a substantial portion of its contributions in 2024\u20132025, which total $20,092,602 across all programs. <\/p>\n\n

The projects, developed collaboratively, aim to bring forth new solutions and expertise for a stronger and more resilient Quebec. They cover areas such as microelectronics, telecommunications, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, optics\/photonics, and quantum technology. Solutions are targeted at industrial sectors, cloud computing, manufacturing 4.0, and healthcare, to name a few. <\/p>\n\n

Their impact includes, for example, reducing dependence on global supply chains, increasing network resilience, improving manufacturing processes, and training the next generation in sectors experiencing severe shortages (see details of projects in the appendix). <\/p>\n\n

As one of nine industrial research clusters, Prompt is a key player in innovation in the strategic digital technologies sector. The organization brings together stakeholders from academia and industry to foster fruitful collaborations that lead to applied research projects. <\/p>\n\n

Prompt’s Collaborative Innovation Program is supported by the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, and Energy through the Research and Innovation Organizations Support Program (PSO) and contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the Quebec Strategy for Research and Innovation Investment (SQRI2<\/sup>). <\/p>\n\n

\u201cSector-Based Industrial Research Clusters (SIRC) play an essential role in the implementation of Quebec\u2019s Research and Innovation Investment Strategy. By connecting players in the innovation cycle in the information technology sector, Prompt makes a significant contribution to Quebec\u2019s economic growth.
