It is with huge sadness that we learned of the death of Charles Despins, who was CEO of Prompt from its founding in 2003 until 2015.
This technology visionary worked throughout his career in both the academic and industrial sectors of the ICT industry, researching, developing and implementing new technologies. Holding a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from McGill University and a master's degree and a doctorate in electrical engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, he has been a full professor of electrical engineering at ETS since 2015. He will be remembered as an unforgettable builder of our Consortium and of ICT in Quebec. We will also remember Charles Despins for his unparalleled sensitivity and generosity, committed to innovation and research in Quebec. It is with emotion that the entire Prompt team wishes to express its sincere condolences to his family and friends.
