Who we are

PROMPT propels your innovations.

PROMPT

We develop and fund research and innovation partnerships in all sectors of information and communications technology (ICT), computing, artificial intelligence and microelectronics.

We develop and fund projects that bring together companies, universities, technology transfer centres and public research centres to develop new cutting-edge products, solutions and services.

We are expanding the capacity of researchers and entrepreneurs to make their dreams a reality, while strengthening local expertise through workforce training and long-term wealth creation.

ICT, our field of action

Created in 2002, PROMPT is one of nine industrial research sectoral groups (Regroupement sectoriels de recherche industrielle - RSRI) in Quebec. The mission of RSRIs is to help propel Quebec's economy by stimulating the rise of leaders in all emerging technology sectors. RSRIs are pioneers in a new model of collaborative innovation, where front-line actors – the entrepreneurs – work with scientific experts–the researchers – to invent the future together.

PROMPT's key sector is information and communication technology (ICT) and computing, from hardware to software as well as components, networks and applications. This allows PROMPT to finance many projects within specific vertical markets such as healthcare, security and transportation. The impact of these projects is great enough to change practices, research and applications.
