• Fund your artificial intelligence innovation projects while working collaboratively with other companies and academic researchers

• Maximum financial aid of $150,000 per eligible industry partner up to a maximum of $600,000 per project (including management fees)
• Maximum financial aid is 50% of eligible expenditures
• Total government expenditures can add up to 75% of eligible project expenditures  
• Private contributions must represent a minimum of 25% of eligible expenditures
• Maximum project duration is 3 years

Please note that:   

• Management fees apply on the total project value (see FAQ)
• Non-subsidized expenditures may be eligible for tax credits, in particular the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credit, based on the prevailing criteria of these programs.

To be eligible, SMEs or startups must:

• Be legally incorporated under federal or Quebec laws and be registered with the Quebec Enterprise Register
• Have their head office in Quebec and also have their employees or subcontractors working mainly in Quebec
• Have 249 or fewer employees
• Not be owned by more than 50% by other businesses or organizations

To be eligible, PARTNERSHIP-IA – INDUSTRY projects must feature collaborative research in artificial intelligence and meet the following criteria:

• Be carried out by a minimum of 2 Quebec SMEs or startups and a maximum of 4 companies
• For each eligible industry partner, the project must call for hiring at least one intern per year
• At least 20% of eligible project expenditures must stem from services by a public research centre and/or the hiring of an intern linked to such a centre
• Each eligible industry partner must demonstrate a tangible contribution to resolving technological uncertainty
• Each eligible industry partner must demonstrate tangible benefits at the end of the project
