• Fund your R&D projects in clean technology with collaboration between researchers and industry
• Help position Quebec as a leader in the development of clean technology 
•  

• Maximum financial aid is $500,000 per year, per project
• Maximum financial aid may represent  up to 50% of the total project expenditures
• Total government expenditures can add up to 90% of eligible project expenditures 
• Contributions from businesses must represent a minimum of 10% of the total project expenditures, of which 50% may be in-kind
• Maximum project duration is 3 years  

Note also that:     

• Management fees apply on the total project value (see our FAQ) 
• Non-subsidized expenditures may be eligible for tax credits, in particular the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credit, based on the prevailing criteria of these programs.

For an INNOV-R project to be eligible, the lead applicant must:

• Be connected with either a university, an affiliated  research centre, a CEGEP or a college technology transfer centre (CCTT). Check the complete list of eligible public research centres 
• Involve at least one company based in Quebec and having production or R&D activities here.

Note:

• Other partners such as NPOs, Crown corporations, public bodies, municipalities and businesses outside Quebec may also be involved in the project.

Projects eligible for INNOV-R must:

• Demonstrate a high tangible potential to reduce GHG emissions in Quebec
• Involve at least one company based in Quebec and having internal production or R&D activities here, and at least one public research centre in Quebec
• Be submitted by the Quebec public research centre that is a partner in the project
• Have a technology readiness level (TRL-NMT) of 1 to 6
